Hi June,
That is one major thing I forgot to factor in, however it vastly depends on which specific regional model is available to you as some come with the 3 cell battery which is a lot smaller than the 6 cell batter.

I would recommend that you pop over to your local HP site (the main site is www.hp.com) and click on your region and see what is available.
Cheers

Hi, Stuart, Great review...but did I miss the weight and size-dimension stats? These are an issue for me, and I'm looking at the eee PC also related to these. Haven't seen either, in person yet, but planning to.

Hi John,
I have found that if you do not have wifi on etc you should be able to get around 4 or 4.5 hours. With wireless on you might find that drop to about 3. Although this really does depend on a number of factors such as the actual hardware configuration and the like but just as a rough guide you could go by that.
Cheers

thanks A LOT for this in depth review.
Now I know what to pay attention to when buying this machine.
Does anyone know how long the 6 cell battery will last for ordinary typing jobs (Word/Excel)?

Hi Peter,
I was chatting with my boss at work about this today as he also has a Tivo, and he mentioned the same thing (I have noticed this as well) so it appears that they must have released a fix recently for it.

Haha well that is one out of a list of things ;) they might just get there yet.

I've had the same problem with fluctuating audio levels, though haven't really noticed it of late. Perhaps it's been fixed?
